This is an exquisite custom mandolin, with a red spruce top, outraageously flamed and quited maple back and sides, beautiful lacquer sunburst finish, flat ebony fretboard, peghead overlay and bridge. Pearl logo in the peghead. Has a 1 1/8 inch nut. One piece gold Allen tailpiece. Sidebound like Monroes Loar. Audey carved the heel to give some extra style to the mandolin. This is a very full, rich sounding mandolin built by a top luthier as a showpiece for his skills. Even though its a new mandolin, it has that woody bluegrass bark and the excellent volume and tone that is typical of these mandolins.
